You may be saved, but fail to grow in God; You may not believe in the fairy tale of religion; You may be mad at yourself
or God; or You may just be uninformed/misinformed about Christians. Whichever the case, I have news for you; Jesus is real!
He's shown me that. But for you maybe you haven't felt him yet, or just keep hitting dead ends. A lot of people look at religion
as an accessory. "Well, if I go to church a lot of people will look at me nice.", we usually say in our hearts. If our friends
or our social group goes to church we go to church. If they go the mall we go to the mall. If they smoke pot and have unprotected
sex we do the same! We are all doing “The Dance” in this life! Our hearts thirst for acceptance and people to
love us so we do everything we can to make ourselves valuable and desirable. If you even think you are doing “The Dance”
in life, and be honest with yourself, then I know you are going down the wrong road. How Do I know? I traveled that road for
14 years! I acted the way I thought others wanted me to, I spoke the way others said was “cool”, I even thought
the way I thought those who were “in” did! I did the dance! Something happened though; I began to get tired. I
got tired because I could only dance for so long. Jesus saw my fatigue and presented himself to me and he wrote something
on my heart. He wrote, “I love and accept you and I always have. Whether you dance or not!”.
You can do the dance longer than me maybe. You can give God the cold shoulder, spit on the bible, take a hostile stance
to anyone who calls themselves a Christian and complain the whole time. You can pour out your energy and money and time and
heart into this world and gaining stuff, but none of it will ever love you back. What is the goal in life? To get a nice house,
a good car, a hot wife, children, a 20 year education? What good does any of that do you when you die. Nothing!
You don’t have to dance for Jesus, his love is free. You don’t have to do anything, but submit to him to receive
his love and quench the thirst in your heart. Drop to your knees and “surrender all” and Jesus will overflow your
cup! Whether your recommitting or accepting God for the first time or just gaining more faith, just pray this right now between
you and God please:
“Lord. I know I am a sinner and that I am worthless! I find it hard to belief that one man can die on two planks
nailed together and receive all the anger for everyone’s sins and that you are even real, but in the little faith I
have; I believe! Lord, come in my heart and clean out the evil. I feel so empty from hitting dead ends in this world; Will
you fill me up? My heart hangs by a thread whether I know it or not. Strengthen that thread with Jesus’ blood a save
me from the eternal fire God. I want to be filled Jesus. Fill me as you have promised!”
