AM I WHINING OR AM I JUST STANDING UP FOR WHAT I BELIEVE IN? I hear way to much from people that they don’t want to be lectured to or that I’m too strict or “anal” about stuff. Yet when I examine myself and ask the Holy Spirit to examine myself I am not nearly strict enough on myself and don’t lecture people near enough. This response tells me two things: First, the difference in perception when people don’t know the whole story. Second, that people don’t always want to hear the whole story. I view this vicious circle as an excuse. We don’t want to give up our habits, our possessions, sometimes our relationships because we have become so attached and worked so hard to obtain them. We’ve become so comfortable with our lives that we lose the flexibility that makes us able to survive in this world of sin around us. If we say we don’t understand something and express no interest in learning to understand then how can we have anything valid or valuable to contribute to it?! It could be something simple that shows us we are this way. Something as simple as the volume of our stereo in the car, our respect for others property, a respect to returned something borrowed unharmed and in a timely manner. All of us need not to expect others to fix things for us, but to examine ourselves, allow God to show us what needs changing, and then DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES to fix it. After all; all we can do on this earth is seek Love, and to do this we have to gain Wisdom to protect us from hatred and to keep our human nature from consuming us. We are God’s people, we must repent or we will be counted as chaff; lets extinguish the anguish for which we’re to blame and save the world from going down in flames! (relient k, down in flames) God’s passion for you is never ending!
